My hubby set dinner for the pets at 5 and likes to be the one to give the cat her once a day wet food. Problem is he works until 5 two times a week and often can’t get home on time the other days. If I feed her, I go straight for the can with shrimp pieces. I’m not fooling around with variety.

Cats are some of the best silent (and often NOT-so-silent) scolders.

Never had a sardine, and at 64, likely never will.

We always have a tin or two set to the side just in case. Then again my Wife and I both enjoy Sardines in many ways so we almost always have several tins as well as some in the Freezer.

In our case it’s shrimp. If we don’t have any or have given him any by x o’clock he will let us know.

    They’re great on saltine crackers.

I see none of you have had the pleasure of the real Upper-Midwest Scandihoovian delicacy: lutefisk (reconstituted dried whitefish, soaked in lye brine for two days, rinsed for 6 to 7 days, and cooked), with butter, and sour cream whitesauce. Just once, on a dare. Never, never, ever again.

After lutefisk, sardines are a treat.
