True. Where else can you be wrong 90% of the time and still keep your job?

I guess that’s why they call them WHETHER-MEN. You don’t know WHETHER or not their forecasts will be correct.;-D

Today’s forecasters are always right except for where what he predicts will happen.

The only successful forecaster I knew was run out of the state of Louisiana. However he has had one successful career after another. He is one of those who seems to be able to do anything.

You’re being really generous with that last percentage.

Hectic can’t even hardly get the weather right 12 hours ahead of time. Let alone predicting 10, 20 or 50 years from now.

Here in Ohio, we finally got some measureable snow last night, about 4 inches. Schools closed 2 days in a row.

Forecasters in Los Angeles have it pretty easy. Probably the same in San Diego.

According to a study by Nate Silver, the National Weather Service had the most accurate forecasts, followed by some of the big companies like accuweather. TV weather people were the worst.

I read somewhere that forecasts always over forecast bad weather. That’s because people get less upset when they plan for bad weather that doesn’t materialize. They don’t like planning for good weather and then being rained or snowed out.
