This is exactly what it was like for my sister when her kids were small. Her husband refused to work, drank ALL his social welfare money, he not only didn’t give her a penny for his upkeep but NOTHING towards the kids’ either. Meanwhile she had to pay for everything look after the kids, he didn’t help her out there either as well as hold down a job. As you can imagine we were all delighted when she finally divorced him.
