    I wonder how people became so gullible to believe in this nonsense.In Philadelphia, the Groundhog doe snot sees his shadow, the one in Virginia does. I just feel sorry for the poor Groundhog being awakened from his winter sleep for this.

    My mother always said if he didn’t see his shadow, Spring would be here in 6 weeks. Superstitions were generally treated with disdain.
