Droopy the Dog was one of those Speech Impediment cartoon characters that were so common in the 40’s and 50’s. Along with Sylvester the Cat, Elmer Fudd, Porky Pig, and a host of others.
Being a child and avid cartoon watcher of the 50s, I thought it strange that I didn’t know this character so I had to google Droopy Dog … And viola, I recognized him. I just didn’t know, or I had forgotten his name.
