Greedy Trump the evil obstructer would never turn any real evidence over, it might get him thrown out of office. Instead he hides everything and then claims everyone is so unfair to him. Then the jackanapes republicans pretend to agree with lies, hate and racism to stay in power. I really despise the way greedy and immoral Republicans are destroying and stealing the United States of America for their own selfish ends.
GOP Logic: Trump didn’t do it, but if he did, it was not a crime, but if it is, it is not impeachable, but if it is, he’s not guilty, but if he is, he doesn’t have to leave office.
And besides Obama, Biden, Hillary, Mexicans, Muslims, me-too women, gays, witch-hunt, fake news, shithole countries, no collusion, Muller like totally exonerated him, human scum, sharpies on a weather map, low-flow toilets, LED light bulbs, and the only reason the D’s are doing this is because they HATE Trump.
Sounds like a very logical, airtight argument to me.
The Republican Argument: Trump was legally elected – well, that’s what impeachment’s all about, isn’t it? If he weren’t legally elected, he wouldn’t be president and therefore would not have to be impeached.
Trump was legally elected and is the choice of the people. Therefore impeachment is against the will of the people. Trump was elected by a minority of the population. According to just about every poll, more than 50% of the people favor impeachment. The will of the people is FOR impeachment not against.
There is no precedence for impeachment: tell that to Johnson, Nixon and Clinton.
There is no such thing as “obstruction of Congress:” What do call it when you subpoena witnesses and the person being tried bans them from testifying?
Interfering with a U.S. election is not a crime: but would it be one if the Democrats tried it?
Trump said there is no “quid pro quo” the funds were released: but only AFTER he got caught with his hand in the cookie jar.
Democrats hate Trump: this could be true but it does not erase historical fact.
Democrats are abusing the Constitution: by following Constitutional process, apparently.
The impeachment is nothing more than partisan politics. Partisan politics may play a role, but it still does not change the historical facts.
The Democrats are using their majority to discredit the president: and McConnell has already said he would use his majority to find Trump not guilty before the trail begins.
Trump is doing a great job as president: even if this were true, it still does not change historical fact.
Biden is corrupt: even if this were true, it does not change historical fact.
It sets a bad precedence for future presidents: and maintains the balance of power.
When you don’t have the truth on your side you are left with attacking the process, attacking the accuser or throwing up a smoke screen of distracting and irrelevant accusations.

Yesterday McConnell said there will be no witnesses. He has so corrupted the process that there is no due process.
