National Chocolate Covered Anything Day. How about some chocolate covered chocolate?
Barbie and Barney Backlash Day. On December 16th, Barbie and Barney Backlash Day allows parents to take a vacation from all the repetitive sing-a-longs and storytelling.
While Barbie and Barney aren’t the only toys and television show of childhood, these two do strike a nerve from time to time. The day permits parents to turn off the annoying cartoons and songs. Parents may insist on a different book to read at bedtime. Put away the noisy toys. If you dare.
On another note. I used to babysit a little girl from next door. She didn’t like Barney the dinosaur. She used to sing his song with her own words, “I hate you. You hate me…” Never having kids of my own, I didn’t have to see much of Barney, aside from commercials selling Barney junk. And I muted the commercials.

A correction to my comment yesterday about community food pantries. I meant to say donate extra canned food before it expires, Don’t let it sit in your pantry for years. I found a can of condensed milk yesterday that said “use before 11/20/2014”. So I pitched it.

While it was wrong for the mice to take advantage of him, it was still nice of Oliver to help them out. On another note, saw some geese flying over while in town today. They looked quite nice against the dark sky.
