Of COURSE it is political. But it’s not JUST political. The Dems are doing it alone because the GOP refuses to do their constitutionally mandated job. Which is absolutely an attempted power-grab.
US politics always amazes me (not that we in Oz aren’t subject to mediocre political leaders & policies). If the US truly has an impeachable President and the House votes this way and the Senate votes on party lines to reject the impeachment, the people at any upcoming elections including the 2020 election need to seriously look at whether those Senators that voted on party lines should ever be elected again,
