Will this doom the human race? Centuries from now, scientists will say it was global warming, but we know it will be because men don’t understand women. You can’t have children if men don’t understand women (if you catch my drift). So we will become extinct not with a bang (like the dinosaurs), but with a whimper.
What I love about this is putting it in dialogue with the current Sarah’s Scribbles: https://www.gocomics.com/sarahs-scribbles/2019/11/23. Sarah notes (correctly) that as a group, many women have a deep interest in true crime and criminology. Scott, on the other hand, suggests here that criminals “repel women,” which just proves the third panel: as a man, he genuinely doesn’t know what women find interesting.
As men become more desperate, they spend more money trying to attract women (further demonstrating how little they understand them), which drives consumer capitalism.
