All our Christmas decorations are up by the first full weekend of December and they’re all down by midnight 12/31. A freshly cleaned house to willkommen the New Year. Gives a bright start to what can be a very long, dreary, snow-laden month in the upper Midwest.

My wife’s ex’s family grew xmas trees, so of course they had to have one. Her MIL finally took it down around Easter. Never again.

You can transform fake Christmas trees in to other types – Valentines Day, Mardi Gras, etc. Just depends on how creative you want to be.

It is definitely bad luck to take down your Christmas tree before the end of Christmas.Christmas ends at dusk on 5 January.
