My parents had a rule – if one mentioned something one wanted as a gift more than once – forget about getting it. I did get some of the items I really wanted -
electric trains – ran for the day, dad glued the tracks to board for me & engine got glued small lathe that worked with styrofoam or balsa wood – the hold on broke within a monthShowboat (put on shows with cardboard figures) 2 sets each of 2 plays – none of the other 2Chatty Cathy – record broke within a week
Learned fairly quickly that gifts are not worth getting – either they are not what one wanted or they break right away or both.

Why don’t the kids have noses they look deformed and ugly. All the other characters have noses.
