Cherry was fired on Monday by Sportsnet, which stated that it did not want to be associated with the “divisive remarks” that Cherry made on air. Those comments include his use of “you people,” which seemed to target Canadian immigrants.

“You people that come here love our way of life, you love our milk and honey, at least you can pay a couple bucks for a poppy or something like that,” Cherry said. “These guys paid for your way of life that you enjoy in Canada. These guys paid the biggest price.”

Cherry sounds like a racist Republican, no wonder Bok defends him.

Press will never let go of the fuel that someone did in their youth! Get a life, and stop all this political correctness, it’s only how YOU FEEL!

Times have changed. 20 years ago when Justin did that, people would turn a blind eye. Today they won’t.

There is a textbook example of a false equivalency. Trudeau was engaging in a tribute to another culture that was common and unremarkable at the time. Don Cherry’s mouth has had him on a seven second delay for decades. His director didn’t catch the possible blowback from his commentary within those seven seconds and so Grapes is on the street. BTW I don’t vote Liberal and I changed the channel whenever Cherry was on.

Cherry should have been taken off the air for his wardrobe choices years ago.

Are the Republicans losing even their tenuous grip on reality? Though he is not paying attention to the public impeachment hearings, the Weasel is personally attacking witnesses on Twitter in the most base,inflammatory ways possible using fake facts and innuendo. This Swamp Creature is the leader of our country? The House Republican McMafia is showing the world what a stooge looks like when on full display.

I liked Don Cherry when he was coach of our Boston Bruins. But his colorful off-the-cuff comments, especially toward the referees, got the team into trouble often. Like General Patton, (another local of Boston) he didn’t know when to shut up. Eventually, it cost them their jobs. (and a Stanley Cup!)

Bok, being a racist, cannot see anything wrong w/ what Cherry said. Nor with what Trudeau did. But he knows that people were hating on Trudeau, so he’s bright enough (barely) to condemn the liberal for it.

The objective of political correctness is to silence the masses through guilt and fear to enable the ultimate eradication of thought and freedom. We will all become lifeless (and humourless) zombies controlled by the state. Stand your ground Don and Justin. No apologies necessary.

Don Cherry has been an embarassment for at least the last twenty years. This last meltdown was just the excuse the CBC needed to override the oldhats and dump him. Trudeau’s youthful stupidity doesn’t change that at all.
