I put a bag of groceries behind the drivers seat, pulled into the garage and shut the door. Didn’t want to open the garage door again to get to that side of the car, so I got into the back seat and lifted the bag up and out and pulled/tore a muscle in my side.

Now I can’t move without yelping. Rats!

Today is:

Happy Hour Day. I’m happy because it’s my day off, so I’ll be happy for more than an hour. Yes, I know that’s not what this means. But as a non-drinker, I have a different idea of “Happy Hours”.

National Chicken Soup For the Soul Day. I like the “Chicken Soup” books. I have quite a few of them.

National French Dip Day

National Pizza With the Works Except Anchovies Day. I don’t do “the works” I don’t eat pizza very often. I’m not a big fan of pizza. But when I have it, I like extra cheese, some bacon bits and pineapple.

And I forgot one yesterday. Yesterday was Remembrance Day in Canada.

It was great seeing you here yesterday, Marge! Don’t be such a stranger! We love hearing from you!

Really cold here again – down to 9° F as I drove home from work last night (at 11:00 P.M.). I have not heard how warm it’s supposed to get today, but I’m going to warm my kitchen a bit with my oven. I’m going to bake chocolate drop cookies in the afternoon.

You are right this time, Chesney! Love Annie’s hair today.

Chesney, the meaner you are, the more time you’ll spend on the loading dock.

He might as well just put his little bed and toys out there since it seems to be where he spends a lot of time.

For Tad1, some of the urban herd seen less than two blocks from my house. WV hunting season starts Nov 25 outside city limits so there should be even more seeking shelter in town,

For those who asked for pictures of my completed kitchen. The young Hispanic man worked 8 hours without a break installing the tiles and then grouting and caulking. He then carefully cleaned up. I tipped him and tried to let him know how much I was impressed with his work. left to right:

The acrilic counters are new, the faucets are new, the stove is new, and the vent hood is new. I think the old curtains now clash with the kitchen so I have ordered new grey and white ones on Amazon. Next on the list is a new paint job (I don’t do paint jobs). Next for me is a new kitty.

It’s odd that even with his innocent appearance, such utterings come forth. I guess that The Loading Dock is truly Home Away From Home.

Someone wisely mentioned something on the Arlo and Janis forum about your brain writing checks your body can’t cash. I’d say that sums me up perfectly these days. Feel better soon.
