For an artist, it’s sad you can only see black and white (or blue and red)! The Virginia results are 21-19 in the state senate and 54-43 in the House of Delegates, Dems to Repubs. How you get “all blue” from that sort of plurality is beyond me…
Again this just illustrates the news. You are a professional editorial cartoonists, you are supposed to go a bit deeper.
I’m sure the vast majority of people got a push notification on their phone of this, or you know from a newspaper headline, but maybe this is for those who don’t read, although how many of those people would be able to recognize what state this is without a label.
Definitely a case where the viewer is in charge of how the image is perceived. This looks very nice to me… but my brother (if he cared at all about Virginia) would see this as horrible.
