I gave up refusing tips for service that i consider just part of my job. Obviously the customer feels that carrying a 50lb bag of baking soda to their car is over and above the service level they expect at a bulk food store so I no longer argue when they hand me a dollar or two. I used to refuse the tips and had customers get upset with me for not accepting the money.
