Jack, there are lots of fun books you could read such as comic books, video game strategy guides, magazines and Junior novelizations. Comic books are the best books of all time. I’m sure you might have some comics lying around somewhere.
When I was a kid we didn’t have TV, so I got a library card and read every sci-fi book they had. As an adult, I read mostly newspapers, magazines, and books selected by my vegan book club. Recently I signed up for Kindle Unlimited and relearned the joy of reading fiction just for the fun of it. I’ve read five sci-fi books in the last month. I feel sorry for kids who never fall in love with reading.
