I know this was about the stupid comment by a Trumpeteer, but please stop focusing on “quid pro quo”. That’s not the crime. Asking a foreign government to investigate an American for political gain is. And he’s been doing this since 2016. And he keeps doing it, even while being investigated for it.

Crime: “nice business you have here. Pay me $500 a month and maybe nothing bad will happen to it.”

Still a crime: “Pay me $500 a month.”

Leaping ahead in time, I imagine Trump taking a crown as Emperor from the Supreme Court justice to place it on his own head, as Napoleon did with the Pope.

If there were any critical thinking ability ANYwhere these days, someone would have told that sap Mulvaney that there’s a fundamental difference between the “win-win” of diplomacy and the “quid pro quo” of corruption.
