I like this, it’s clever. But Trump’s not getting impeached. Certainly not from the Ukraine nonsense. Pelosi and her party announced impeachment having not even seen the transcript. Dumb.
It has been widely reported that the person who filed the report did not legally have access to the transcripts and apparently admits to have not actually seen the transcript.
The IG also reports that the person has a noted political bias. His legal team includes attorneys who has worked for Hillary and have publicly attacked Trump.
The transcript does not support the description we heard yesterday, contains no threats and contains to QPQ requests.
The Ukranian President has publicly stated that Trump’s description of the conversation is accurate and the narrative about QPQ is wrong.
In the end, I doubt the Dems will even present Articles of Impeachment. The likelihood of them getting 218 votes to impeach based on this catastrophe approaches zero.
While he most likely will not be impeached the last vestiges of dignity in the Republican party are about to become extinct. Not that there was much left but it will be a sad thing to see “the party of Lincoln” fade into history leaving only vitriol, fear mongering, and hatred in its place.
If impeachment goes to the Senate, even if he gets off, maybe the GOPers will finally put a leash on the idiot, and maybe stop confirming jerks to the courts, eliminating regulations that will kill us all if he’s not stopped?
