Scooter does not do walks as slow as Clyde insist on them being.

Sometimes the dog gives him a chance to walk free. It’s better not to tell him about it ahead of time – otherwise he just gets so excited.

I’ve been able to go for walks with several of my cats over the years. They do something similar when they spot potential prey. Johnny Depp would give me the “back soon” look and go investigate for up to ten minutes. I would consider him “parked” and continue walking with the other cat. When I checked back later, he was happy to continue with us.

No need to stop for hydrant checks or those embarrassing pickups.. the best kind of walks.
