Presidents aren’t supposed to pass anything. That is the job of congress. Presidents are supposed to execute the laws that the OTHER BRANCH of government passes.

But that was back in the old days before a president could call himself the ‘Leader of the Free World’ and the ‘Commander-in-Chief of the United States.’ (Rather than C-in-C of the Armed Forces, a very very different thing.)

But now let a president show restraint or modesty, and he is called a wimp.

Is this the first time jmattadams has bashed Bush?

Tigger, I hope you’re not so stupid as to think this applies to Obama…who hasn’t quite reached year 9 yet.

The only reason this calendar doesn’t apply to Bush is he had 9/11 to exploit….and then his war.

Sounds pretty good to me.. That is,,,,,,,,, close to how it happens. Applies to others besides the president too with exception of the library. (jmattadams, I enjoyed the coloring books in GW’s library.)

“W“‘s first year = “Screw up and never admit it” Second and all succeeding years in office = “Repeat first year”. Final year- don’t acknowledge first year.

I think Bush alienated most Americans by just stepping into the White House.

Thta’s why it’s best to become POTUS at an early age, to outlive your opponents and tell your version without any contradictions. Assuming you don’t get assassinated.

It sure worked for Nixon (at least the outliving (most) people’s memories, even though he didn’t make it the full 8 years) and Reagan.

the budgets proposed by Reagan and the 2 Bushes were trashed by the Democrat congresses as “dead on arrival”….the president does not propose laws…but he can lobby congress to propose a law….

When is the last year the House passed a budget that the Senate and President agreed to???? The US has been using a “Continuing Resolution” for years! The Laws passed in previous congresses mandated a budget be passed before the fiscal year begins on October 1st….but the law has been ignored.

the cartoon calendars for 100 days, Years 1, 2 and 3 are befitting Obama….who has been “passing laws” the unconstitutional way…..Executive Orders! I hope he doesn’t pull a Chavez and do away with the 2 term limit!
