Tis a dirty job but someone has to do it. Poncho you be the dog ! Carmen hit the nail on the head with that statement ;-)

WHEN you move in with each other?? I guess that’s the new norm. How bout “When you get married …”? A lot of people still do that.

That is not always true. My wife and I switched chores several times before settling on the ones that we were most comfortable with and even then we helped each other out when scheduling became an issue. For instance, when we first got married, my wife did all of the cooking. When my work schedule changed, I did all of the cooking. When my schedule changed again, we took turns. It was really more about who got home first. The only chores that seemed to stick were me with the lawn and her with the mopping.

She has a valid point. Be careful about the side of the bed you chose, the chores you take and the gifts you give. Manage expectations and give yourself some room to grow.
