@Number Three Today’s strip is slightly funny our Hero Mr Andrew Capp is such a pain that usually he gets banned after the first visit to any pub :o) my avatar today is funny , the pilot can’t take off because his Mummy grounded him , how was your day? ours should be busy but not hectic I hope , have fun and thanks for caring pal

If he was banned at a place I wonder would they remember him in, say, 10 years?

What I like about this strip are the helpful sound effects: “PROD”, for example?

I’ve just had a look at yesterday’s strip again and the comments that I and others made. Someone asked me if 1966 was my birth year. It was and I started reading “Andy Capp” as a schoolboy in the 1970s. The “Calvinist” part of my Username comes from my all-time favourite comic strip “Calvin and Hobbes” which ended and became reprints after just over ten years and so maintained far higher quality control than “Andy Capp” although I am often amused by the modern Andy Capp so I continue to read this strip.

As for today’s cartoon, it’s fairly amusing and certainly true to Andy and Flo’s characters. The strip started in the summer of 1957 (therefore nine years before I was born) and they were on a seaside holiday in their first appearance.

What’s wrong with the drawing in the 3rd panel? Something bothers me about it and I can’t quite put my finger on the problem. I bow to your expertise.
