Actually, I went on a rant yesterday about the weathergirl confusing “Tornado Watch” and “Tornado Warning.” They were pointing at a squall line on their blue screen, where it (to be fair) was very gusty and certain seemed like it had the potential to generate a tornado, but there were no twisters, and so no “Warning” was warranted, only a “Watch.”
My brother-in-law, however, came on the conversation thread to post an actual picture of a twister in his neighborhood that had occurred that same afternoon (real Oz stuff).
Seems that, while they were wrong about the Baltimore area for their Tornado Warning, there was a Tornado in Laurel, not 25 miles away, and so the Warning was warranted, perhaps, within their broadcast radius.
I apologized, acknowledged my error and removed my rant.
