If a cat is in my chair I pick up the kitty, set her on my lap and pet her. If she wants to leave that’s her choice but I don’t NOT sit in my chair because the cat got there first.
My 20 pound Westie would hog the whole bed (I’m not a big guy, so don’t require much space) and when I would gingerly move him a couple of inches so the daddy could fit he would give such a stink eye. Miss my little boy…

Of course, the younger one (an 8-month-old grey and white tabby who adopted us a few months back) may try to bribe us with live frogs or lizards!
