Good point. The predictable, incessant stream of slurs coming from the left has no power. Their ignorance of history — historical context, empathy, understanding — dooms their arguments to feeble name-calling.

It’s gotten to where Republicans can’t handle the truth. Trump (and his supporters) are many/all of those things. Own it, GOP, or change your ways.

As always, the “featured” comment is opposed to Lester’s POV. Mine was first up this morning… not featured because coming from the political right. Oh well. The left controls “gocomics” forums… but the right controls the White House. Can’t complain too much.

So “offending” someone is a bigger crime than actually being a racist sexist homophobic cracker white supremacist Hitler Nazi?

I don’t care if someone is offended that they are called out for their unacceptable behavior.

That’s the problem with a good portion of the right-leaning folk these days. Propriety seems to be more important than morality.

If you want to stop being called a racist, sexist, homophobic, white supremacist, then maybe you should stop doing and saying racist, sexist, homophobic, white supremacist things.

Here’s a couple of hard facts for you Lester. Telling people of color to go back where they came from is an iconic racist trope. And saying that people who criticize him hate this country is classic fascism.

I expect Mr. Trump has been offended all along. Why do you think he’s quit trying to pretend to hide it?

I have no doubt that the racist, sexist, homophobic white supremacist(s) are tired of being labeled. But being offended by the truth is easily fixed: Don’t be that way.

PS: I’m annoyed by people who call me names too, but I usually just shrug and turn away: If they lie that’s their problem.

I agree nothing racist, glad you finally realize your errors in judgement.

Sir,

You seem to forget that your medium, your means of expression is the time honored op-ed comic.

Your direct engagement with the masses is clearly more suited to the blog or the tweet. There you can rage all you like and spew forth as you will.

I am not trying to silence or censor you. I’m just saying you don’t seem to be much as much a cartoonist as you seem to be a budding twitterer or blogger.

In the meantime I suggest you follow Brooke McEldowneys excellent example and have comments turned off for your page.
