Well, first of all, if you love someone, they never look awful… since beauty is in the eye of the beholder (as long as they don’t smell awful :-) To me, Jon looks like a cactus, and I would be afraid to touch him - but to Liz, I think it would be different.

Second of all, I am not at all sure whether Garfield is “not moving” to reassure Jon he won’t throw the rock? or to avoid having a rock thrown at him?

And finally, JMLARES, I read PRFESSER’s comment as political commentary, and personal SUPPORT for the human rights of Muslim women under fundamentalist law.

Surely, women in these circumstances are not subjected to DAILY stoning, however, the THREAT of it is constant, like a deadly disease not yet active. It is always an ax waiting to fall and destroy. This status provides anyone who does not like a woman with opportunity to testify against her and set her up for ostracism or death. This is not a state in which I would want to live, … would YOU?

It was about women’s rights, not about race. Much of the world’s muslim population is not black. And if anybody makes the rules, it’s the artist and sponsor. No need to get vicious.
