Does anybody remember how many vote Alfred E Neuman received when he ran for President?
Between Mad magazine and Rocky&Bullwinkle, an entire generation grew up politically aware. It also spawned all those unPC sitcoms of the Seventies: All In The Family, Soap, et al.
Haven’t read MAD in years but loved it back when I was a kid. National Lampoon was my favorite by the time I was 16, but still read MAD.
I remember it too and enjoyed it when I was a kid also.
Maybe all the political cartoonists are being fired because they have become so caustic instead of being funny.

Mad Magazine influenced me, but did I keep buying it? Not since I got tired of the same old jokes embedded in different settings in about 1966.
Maybe, just maybe the definition of funny has devolved…
Pitiful this generation can’t bother to look up from their stupid phones to get educated and join society….
