There was a ‘si-fi’ story many years ago where a man’s deceased war buddy was reincarnated as a dog. It belonged to a writer, who let it practice typing letters on his typewriter. The letters got more and more readable, but the dog got fatter and fatter due to being overfeed. So the dog smothered his owner in self-defense. And typed one last letter explaining and apologizing.
