BBFF#4 – Years ago I had a house rabbit (Pickle) who used to eat biscuits and drink tea. She was black and white with similar markings to this one. She used to scratch at the cupboard door where the biscuit tin was kept.
Lovebug is showing slight improvement. She’s not walking in tight circles now. She’s walking a straight line and not falling down. She’s eating, but not a lot. And she looks cleaner today than she was yesterday, so maybe she’s grooming. I got a short video of her enjoying catnip yesterday afternoon, but I missed getting a video of when she washed her face (just 2 or 3 swipes with her paw). I actually took her outside with me, but even though I have a fenced yard, I put her in a harness with a leash so she wouldn’t disappear in the peonies or other stuff in my yard where she’d be hard to find. Neighbors shooting off fireworks made her a little nervous, but she seemed to enjoy being outside. She’s been strictly indoors since I got her. I hope she’s feeling better.
So happy the 4th is over! I drove the dogs a few miles away where we could watch the fireworks without hearing the noise, they still barked a few times just at the sight. 2 of the cats sat OUTSIDE (in their safe enclosure) and didn’t seem to mind at all, the 3rd stayed inside under the table but came out when it was over. One of Craig’s nieces staying with us has 7 cats and has just become the newest reader of Ten Cats and Snow Sez! She is planning to start from the very beginning, loving them from the first ones I showed her!
Hi everyone. I have not posted in awhile. Just letting everyone know our cats survived the fireworks fairly unscathed. There were terrified and hid a lot, but we have been dosing them with “BCD” (spell?) that marijuana stuff with no THC so they seemed a bit more relaxed than last year. Still the illegal fireworks went on for hours..set a tree afire two houses down. I have about 9 cats and we are fostering 5 kittens who actually took the fireworks in stride. I know they are illegal, but folks just ignore the laws and shoot of loud stuff for hours. My babies hid and cried, but survived the night.
Wishing all a good summer. It stays hot here till September (100+) so all my cats are indoors except for the 3 feral colonies we feed. I really did not intend for this cat thing to get so …ummmmmmm…complicated??
Sweetheart and Kiki ignored everything. It bothered me more than them because if my having to get up so early in the morning.
The parade and picnic were just about perfect. Good fun.
I made a mistake with Kiki this morning. While shopping for a client i picked up one of those cat toys that has the electronic cheeper in it. Gonna have’ta find that sucker before bedtime or i’ll never get any sleep. XD

It’s 11:51 and the idiots 2 doors down are still shooting off their illegal fireworks. Sounds like bombs right outside my bedroom!

We are in the midst of a heat wave here, but we were able to get the a/c up and running yesterday so the apartment is livable.
