I have often wondered just what that “freedom” means. What freedom do you have on your side of the fence that I don’t on my side? I can think of several freedoms I have that you don’t so would welcome knowing a few of yours.
The bell cracked early on and doesn’t ring out too good or sound bell like, but we kept it anyway. A recognizable symbol for a great country that is misunderstood by its current leader. Let other bells in the neighborhood ring out for the fourth.
@Alberta Oil: I’ve been asking that question of Conservatives for YEARS here on these cartoons and have never received an answer. When you claim that America is the most free country in the world, please tell me what freedoms YOU have in America that we don’t enjoy in Canada or in any other industrialized Western democracy. And then I’ll give you a list that we have that you don’t.

“Complacency”: “Corruption” might also work.

“Complacency”. I was going to look that up, but I’m perfectly happy in my ignorance, so why bother?

There’s a crack there, but it sure isn’t “complacency” — it’s partisanship, to the exclusion of all else.
