These two aren’t quite “around the bend” but they can see it from where they sit.

Seriously. Doonesbury overall is rad, but this past week? It’s seriously been Dick Tracy. By which I mean lame.

Didn’t any of you see the video of the woman who walked into the fountain because she was so busy texting? This is the dry, ironic humor that I love about this guy…

Yeah, you critics… if any of you have a teenager with a text plan, you might appreciate this more. No concept of the outside world, when those thumbs are flying.

The Red Rascal is successfully utilizing his finely honed investigative skills.

jumbobrain, I haven’t seen the “Pig on Wheels” make an appearance yet.

you don’t think the fragmentation of consciousness from within, the bombardments-at-speed-of-light inflicting of infomercialization and groupthink and soul-killing mammonization - the destruction of one-on-one communication is a worthy enough subject?

I sure do. and here I sit talking with a bunch of strangers, from a distance.

There’s a story about Einstein walking across the Princeton quad at noon and meeting a friend, stopping to chat. When the carillon chimed noon, he asked, “Which way was I going when we met?” His friend pointed, and Einstein replied, “Oh, then I’ve had lunch.”

I’ve got a pair of boy cats like this, that just don’t recall eating their meal ten minutes ago. I’m glad they don’t tweet as well.

Don’t you love it when people are able to recover their past?

    Is mammonization a palinosis word?

Lame, hunh? Try listing ALL your friends that would not fit at that same table… short list, I would bet. The ‘headstone’ for a genuinely lost generation will be an I-phone.

    Oh yes … they vote.

I think not remembering lunch may have had more to do with all the “medical” marijuana they smoked earlier ;-)
