When I first brought my rescue dog home to the Texas Hill Country from the kennel, she was emaciated, and suffered from demodectic mange. Without going into detail, she was a mess, and until she recovered, every time I took her outside to do her business the vultures that frequent the skies there circled down to investigate. I did not leave her alone outside until the vultures no longer were interested. Pleased to report she put on weight, her skin healed up, and she is fit and healthy.
