“Ringing off the hook” is such an anachronism. Many of us understand the reference, but what would the 2019 version be? A lot of phones don’t even ring anymore. Mine barks!
It’s kinda sad that these days, all the characters are rich and famous, Marcy is the head of a research center, Marcus is a celebrity who just hangs out with the family, I liked the strip more when Joe and Marcy were just ordinary cops and nurses.
