    I’d be surprised, what with the micrometeorites that bombard it.

    It is moving away at about a centimeter a year, so it just looks smaller.

    Fairly minor shrinkage related to the coefficient of thermal expansion as the center gets cooler over time.

    Interesting but not Earth shaking.
