I just made appointments at the ophthalmologist for us. We were due there in December – but just getting to a phone at my desk (so I can see the entire calendar on my computer to check for things on days around the appointment) took all this time – and this is not even an doctor’s appointment I have to make when husband is not around (he doesn’t like to know when he goes to the GP as he is needlephobic, so the less time he knows he is going for a blood test, the happier he is) that is harder to do as we share an office.
Life was so much easier when he went to work every day and my time was my own – instead of his.
C’mon Ben, how long have you been married? You never tell your wife that you don’t have anything to do. They have a permanent ever-growing lidt in their heads at all times.
I have a lot more on my plate now, but retirement has given me the freedom to get what I need done, when I want to. I have awakened in the middle of the night with a fully formed plan, and by morning, it’s done. I can then stay up, or go back to bed. Choice.

Yes, but nothing ever gets done.

If you don’t want someone else to make your plans, make your own first and make them known!

I retired 6 months ago. I think I need to go back to work to get a rest.

I’ve been retired for 11 years and I had more “free” time then than I do now.

Glad I live alone! Almost 65 and all I gotta take care of besides myself is….the yard, the house and the pets!

That’s something that I’ve put off for months now. But then I don’t have a designated ‘nagger’.

There are plans that involve us but aren’t ours.
