Funny and I get the sentiment. But with so many children being raised by mothers only, I’m sure the young man will someday appreciate having a father present in his life! Sorry to post a serious comment, it is a great cartoon.
A Japanese friend who lives in Florida went home for a two week visit.
When she came back, her only complaint was that, during those two weeks she saw her father exactly Once, tor about an hour, before he had to go back to work.
She said they knew he’d been home sometime during the night because he’d eaten the dinner her mother left for him and changed clothes before going back to work each night. The Family was asleep while he was there.

Most Dads in Japan work long hours, but Karl is so “lucky” to have one who works at his school and can see him anytime…everywhere!
