Seems low. OTOH I never answer the phone unless I know the number and Xfinity’s NOROBO service is great, one ring and the call goes away. Doesn’t stop everything but has really cut down the calls.
NoMoRobo does a good job on my land line. The phone rings once and then hangs up. We have caller ID and don’t answer unknown or unwanted numbers (American Red Cross in particular – I do donate blood routinely and I have yet to block their emails). At any rate, it does not matter who calls at dinner time, the phone does not get answered.
On my cell phone, I have a distinctive ring for my wife, another for all of my personal contacts, a third for businesses I choose to do business with. I never answer the default ring, and they never leave a voice mail.
NoMoRobo works with a number of carriers. They take you to your carrier’s web site and give you instructions on how to set it up. It is free for land lines and there is a monthly charge for mobile numbers.
We are getting close to the season where my wife and I do our own time change. We record TV programs and watch them an hour later. We can then fast-forward through the political ads. We call it trash-compacting.
It works out well, three hours of recording and we cut out the hour’s worth of ads.

I cannot ignore calls as I receive calls from customers and suppliers from numerous area codes and areas.

And these were just the calls from the Nitwit-in-Chief’s campaign McMafia.

Only if you still have a landline. In which case, unless you live in a cellular dead zone, I must ask: Why do you still have a landline?

John Oliver did a wonderful segment on robocalls, even made his own robocall for those that regulate the industry …..

I am guessing his estimate is likely to be way shy of the actual number.
