There was something in Mad Magazine’s The Lighter Side Of….that had a teenage boy ask for two hot dogs in a quiet tone. His girlfriend told him to speak up and assert himself-“It’s the squeaky wheel that gets the grease.” So he asked for two hot dogs in a loud voice, and the vendor said, “Don’t yell at me, punk!” Then the girlfriend asked, “Well, did you get the hot dogs?” and the boy, who has mustard all over him, replies, “No, but he greased my wheel.”
