And rhe Repubs pledge allegiance to a man who has no respect for our country, women, the rule of law and so many other things. He only cares about himself.
Does Varvel not remember when it was exactly like this in the house, but with the GOP doing it… or not notice that it is still like this in the Senate w/ Mitch in charge?
Of course he remembers and notices. That makes him a flat liar! (which is neither a surprise nor a change).
Now, I know some will say that “just because they did it” doesn’t make it right. They are correct. The difference is what they’re doing it about. Just to pick a pair of examples: Packing the supreme court by refusing to even hold a hearing on Obama’s pick on one side, versus trying to get the Attorney General to do his job on the other.
Varvel must think Trump is just laying a trap for Democrats and everyone else, ready to spring the truth of his innocence and patriotism by immediately opening his tax records, and every other piece of information congress has a constitutional right to oversee regarding a sitting President. That will show those Democrats, right, Varvel?
This is the republican pledge: I pledge allegiance to my bank account and the destruction of the constitution, and to the congressional pension which I pretend to earn while lining my pocket,
This cartoon is drawn under the assumption that Trump has not intentionally subverted the Constitution…a rather difficult assumption to back up with evidence.
Nobody is trying to undo the 2016 election… unless it’s Trump, with his recent claim that he wasn’t really elected until two years later, or something like that.

This cartoon reminds me of the pledge the Republicans took to undo everything the last President did .. just because . . .

The irony is so thick here as to make breathing difficult.

It would be interesting to see what Varvel would draw if he understood “Patriotism” or “Rule of Law”.

I guess Varvel is accusing the Dems of copyright infringement?
Well, “with tyranny and injustice for all” may be the Republican’s slogan, but I don’t think they copyrighted it, did they?
