What was most revolutionary about Citizen Kane is the technical and style changes Welles created in shooting the movie. Prior to it most movies were more liked filmed stage play’s. Welles use of angles and lighting and things like the dinner table which keep getting larger and moving Kane and his wife physically apart and they moved emotionally apart.
