Hey Marty, the kids in Flint did well with the water they given, why not the kids on the reservations? Be that as it may, it seems the great state of South Dakota is restricting someones freedom of speech.
In March, President Trump issued a new permit for the project after the ninth circuit court refused to lift a lower court’s injunction [based on the government’s failure to meet environmental laws] against Keystone XL pipeline construction and operation.
The proposed pipeline is illegal. Construction & operation of it would be deliberately breaking the law. Apparently South Dakota is trying to intimidate American citizens away from peacefully protesting for the law.
TransCanada could send one “ringer” to any peaceful assembly, punch somebody in the nose, and the state could sue the pants off of the organizers.
“In America, we still believe in the rule of law. Farmers and ranchers for the past 10 years have pleaded with our government to protect property rights and clean water from a foreign pipeline. We are looking to the courts to hold the line on Trump’s reckless abuse of power." — Jane Kleeb, Bold Nebraska
The Trump administration has weakened offshore drilling safeguards put in place after a 2010 explosion on the BP Deepwater Horizon oil platform that killed 11 workers and poisoned much of the Gulf of Mexico and surrounding beaches.
Administration officials announced the revised Well Control Rule today in Louisiana, not far from the site of the largest ocean spill in US history.
Also, the Trump administration pushed to remove all references to climate change in an international statement on Arctic policy, despite the fact that the Arctic is warming at about twice the rate of the rest of the world.
And of course, electricity generating wind turbines cause cancer…
I have 2 t-shirts and my GF has the one shown above with Marty’s art work on them protesting the DAPL rape. I wonder if I would be busted if I wore one and went up to the Dakotas. The trumpster can go to hell.
I love that artwork. I live on a fixed income and I run out of money by the 3rd week. I don’t waste money either. I would love to buy several shirt if I could. I used to be able to make ends meet o n this same fixed income but Inflation, (which they say is a low as can be-a lie) goes faster due to rising food costs. I Want My Country back! Only better, treat Our 1st people our original people well. I have a little Native American in me, so I have always hated how this country has treated them since about day 1.
The nasties haven’t weighed in much yet today. Probably thrown off by the break in sequencing. But I am sure there will be opinions finding a reason…however twisted….to support the pipeline. I love this site and appreciate the good people here. Wish I had more time to investigate forums where like minds can meet. We need to figure out ways to get the message out to the misinformed and how to combat the intentionally evil.

Sorry for posting so late. I was out of town and my settings were off, so it didn’t automatically post this in my absence.

Run the pipeline over an official’s land and wait for the protests!

I oppose the pipeline, but protesting has not been made illegal. “acts of violence” and “riot” are illegal. Shouldn’t they be?
