If his wife finds out about this, he’ll be the one getting a REAL tongue lashing !

If his wife sees him doing that, all those dishes will end up banging his head. At least they will have new dishes.

I heard tell a story of a woman who had a neighbour who would often come to visit for lunch and overstay her welcome. The woman couldn’t get her to take the hint that she was becoming a nuisance until one day, she hit on an idea. At the end of lunch, while chatting, she casually held the plates down where the dog could lick them, then casually stacked them up in the cupboard. Never saw the neighbour again.

When I was 15, we were watching a family friend’s 10-year old son. The boy decided to get some food and grabbed our dog’s scrap plate, which I had accidentally placed in the clean dishes strainer (it was the only dish on either side of the sink). I didn’t see him until he was halfway done eating. At that point, I stopped him and told him he was eating off the dog’s plate which wasn’t clean. I’ll let you imagine how he took that!

I spilled nearly a quart of milk on the kitchen floor, and immediately called the cat and dog. They took a few sniffs and refused to touch it. “Eat off the floor? What? You think we’re some kind of animals or something?”

My mother-in-law and another lady from the church called on an elderly parishioner who made tea. Realizing she was out of milk for the tea, she scooped up the cat’s dish and poured the milk into a jug and put it on the table. Needless to say, both ladies suddenly discovered they took their tea without milk!

You know how to get the unwanted diner “guest” to leave? When they ask if they can stay for diner you tell your spouse “Hey Honey, why don’t you get Duke to clean up another dish for our guest.” (Duke or whatever your dogs name is.) Have a Great Day!
