I do not know if there is or is not a Creator, but I find it amazing that people who can only make mud when they find both dirt and water claim to know and understand the mind of a being they say created dirt and water from nothingness, with just a thought. That is incredibly arrogant.
I like to think of the Universe as a Grand Mosaic composed of an infinite number of tiles. People who try to understand this Universe have managed to describe (somewhat) one or two of these tiles and claim that the one or two that they can see define the rest. I believe that all religions may be equally right AND equally wrong.
I believe that no human being, or group of human beings, or even all human beings in concert can understand more than the tiniest fraction of what there is, and to claim more is ridiculous and self-serving.
Religion is good when it teaches us how to get along with each other and with the World in general. It is evil when it leads us to disparage and hate anything and anyone who is different.
At the same time, Science can neither prove nor disprove the existence of a Grand Creator. As they say in philosophy, “Absence of proof is NOT proof of absence.”
Too many religions and too many gods and none follow the golden rule. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. I didn’t become an atheist till I read the bible cover to cover. No loving god would destroy all human life except for Noah, Shem, Ham, Japheth and their wives, but maybe all that inbreeding is what has made christians such brainwashed morons.
