I used to be a “Republican” – and political life was easy, then. You didn’t have to think – you were told what to believe by your leaders – life was simple.
Then I decided to become a “Democrat” and life became harder. It was expected that I would do something referred to as “drawing conclusions from available evidence”, and “weighing the facts” before deciding. This was harder – because, sometimes, both sides had something to offer – and sometimes neither side was right.
Political life was hard.
I must admit I’m a bit ashamed that I welcomed Trump’s election. You see, I’d followed Donnie John since his standing side-by-side with his father in blocking blacks and minorities from renting ANY of their properties, and so I was confident that standing in opposition to ANY position held by Trump or Trump’s Administration would probably be the right position to be in, for the sake of history. And reading the Mueller Report gives further support for my position.
As a former republican, I truly appreciate the knowledge that if Trump says the sun is up, I’m supposed to turn the lights on; if Trump says the sky is clear, I need my raincoat and umbrella, and if Trump says I should be full, I need to immediately eat!
Working in opposition to ANYTHING Trump and his minions say and do is the closest I’ve ever been to being infallible and it’s a very, very nice feeling! (understand, I appreciate that it COULD make me lazy, as I recognize that I won’t ALWAYS have Donnie John as a ‘bellwether’, but’s nice while it lasts.) Donnie John is consistently wrong and consistently bad, and, while he’s around, I feel quite safe in using him as a guide as to what NOT TO BELIEVE AND WHAT NOT TO DO! Thank you, Donald John Trump!

As is so oft the case, I’ve delegated the reading to some of my favored opinion writers. So far, that seems to be working well for me.

It is a monumentally boring piece of work. Reads like….gasp….a political hit job.
