Watched him last night on CNN. The experience so many others have is at dodging questions and going to talking points. Pete addresses whatever he is asked with intelligent, thoughtful, answers. Refreshing and good for our country.
He’s my favorite of all the candidates so far, but I feel he has more than just lack of experience to deal with if he is to be elected. Following some of the suggestions in other comments (VP, cabinet appointment, election to senate, etc.) could erase most of those concerns.
Myself, I think Warren is a better choice than Mayor Pete, though I like a lot of what he says – he’s never had substantial leadership experience, and he’s shown some disturbing signs of being overly influenced by his background as a McKinsey consultant.
Considering the corrupt neurosyphilitic racist horror the conservatives selected to lead them (and us), Buttiegieg is a welcome and necessary candidate for the country.
I like him. He is quite intelligent, open about his life, and answers questions, rather than dance around them. While Pence is leaving a bad taste about religion, Buttigieg, Lieberman, and others simply lead a good life without pushing it on other people.
Pete also has a good point, he DOES HAVE more government experience than Bonespurs had. Hmm, from Bonespurs actions, Pete STILL has more experience with government, and following the law.
Every candidate will have SOME AREA where he or she is deficient, in somebody’s eyes, at least. We must simply not let our search for the “ideal” candidate blind us to all the “qualified” candidates out there or we’ll end up with Trump, again, and , speaking only for myself, I would find that an unmitigated disaster from which I doubt America could recover!
He’s talking my language, and he’s apparently doing the same for many others. My main concern is that he’s not liberal enough to draw millennials, but maybe being openly gay does that. However, the same thing makes swing voters less likely to give him the nod. Fortunately, we have plenty of time yet for the bottom dozen candidates to reveal their clay feet. Then we can worry about the exact ticket.

No way he’ll get it, but a very interesting guy.

He is certainly more adult than the current occupant of OUR White House.

A vice presidency would be a great training period.

I don’t know if he has a chance with all the big names, but I’d give him a chance.

How is Pete Buttigieg not grown up?
I guess this means that there’s no REAL criticism they can find.
By the way – the Republicans’ leader is a tantrum-throwing toddler. So is this more projection?

He’s not for medicare for all, he’s not for me. Tulsi is a better choice for veterans.
