I wait all this time for Red to read his red reader, and ALL I get is a handful of kibbles and a mouthful of kidding

My guy will pick the empty bowl up in his mouth, carry it over to where I am sitting, and drop it on my foot. Subtle he is not.

That sneaky kibble! None shall escape the wrath of Rover’s powerful chompers!

That’s the trouble with kibbles …

My boy always circles back to see if any tried to escape…they rarely get away.

We replaced our little guy’s blue silicon tire toy yesterday. He tossed that thing around like it was a wild, ferocious I-don’t-know-what! Showed THAT tire who’s boss, yessirree! Then he pranced it all over the place between my husband and myself, teasing a play. He’s quite a character.

My first schnauzer would throw the first piece of kibble of the day into the great room, go pick it up, throw it back into the kitchen, then eat it and its bowl mates. I figured she had to ceremoniously kill the prey once a day! Weird, but cute… :)

I have four Siberian Huskies – one we bought from a breeder and three that were various kinds of rescues. They are all fed twice a day. The “breeder” dog, a neutered male, is very particular and sometimes refuses to “finish” his meal, at times. the three “rescues”, all spayed females, seem to compete to see who can finish their meal before them first, while the male won’t even begin to eat until after the females are finished.

I’m assuming this "strange behavior is tied in some way to the fact that the male has never been forced to “miss” a meal, whereas the females, for varying periods of time, did not know where their next meal was coming from.

If memory serves, Rover was found on the streets, as well (actually, Rover ‘rescued’ Red, as I recall) so his “playing” with his food like a cat is unusual, but cute.

Rover needs to get Red to put a tiny “F” on one side of every kibble and a tiny “B” on the other, preferable with vanilla frosting – that way Rover could tell whether his kibble was doing front or back flips.

The kibble was on a roll in Rover’s bowl. Now he’ll never know which way the kibble flipped.

Rover is lulling it into a false sense of security.
