The DCCC is by definition a committee dedicated to helping incumbents retain their seats. Its mission is just what you would logically expect. Pretty worthless except to themselves, of course.

Not To be confused [I sincerely hope] with the DEMOCRATIC NATIONAL COMMITTEE.

Although the DNC’s reputation took a mighty hit when the leadership conspired to help Democrat Ms. Clinton over Independent Mr. Sanders, the 2016 party platform was most excellent.

    https://democrats.org/about/party-platform

The Democratic National Committee’s leadership has changed and the front-runner for the nomination at this time is — Bernie Sanders!

Looking forward to the 2020 platform, especially one with even more progressive grass root input and the shunning of corporate lobbyists.

The Democratic National Committee and its ilk seriously consider progressive Democrats (i.e., those who want to enact the Party’s own official platform) to be a greater threat than any Republicans, or even te “Alt-Right.”

Yeah, the Russian / GOP / Rallista propaganda gets to even the very best of us. Now Bernie Sanders is an evil corporate controlled Demonrat. Sure.

Everybody passionately cares about America, but actually reading the platform??? — way too much work. Why it’s more than 140 characters!

The Democratic party is chock full ‘o politics — progressive politics. Any third party [successful or not] is too. It’s what they are all about, and that’s why so many people don’t care to vote at all. That’s why the 1% ers win so often.

The only way to get clean is to outvote the dirt until there is no more dirt to be found. The alternative is to be perpetual losers and filthy all the time.

The DCCC doesn’t understand that the only way to be a political leader is to figure out which direction the voters are going and get out in front of them.

@greghard • Yeah, you got a pretty good point there. The only possible way to change all that is to vote in better people.

Better people with any reasonable chance to be elected are going to be either Democrats or Republicans. Endlessly hacking on what some of the Democrats did/didn’t do is one way to go. Another way is to start specifically weeding out the ineffective shills one by one. Ain’t nobody gonna vote for the good ones if they think that there aren’t any to be had.

If the picture you paint shows all Democrats as evil and all Republicans as evil what does that leave us but a victory for the 1%ers?

Wait till the GOP gets hold of that idea, in panel four. They will start running similar candidates for Congress. No one will notice anyway.
