Each fur baby has their own personality. Right now I have one in my lap that follows me around the house. And I have one that tolerates us – no cuddles allowed. Gotta love ’em! :)
Amy Cat is napping behind me in her padded napping box*
*The box is actually the box top from a case of computer paper. The pad is a thick piece of faux furry fabric some unknown internal layers and flannel for the bottom (which is occasionally the top) that was sewn for her by her human grandmother. She naps most of the day now at 14+ years old but is still quire healthy and lively when awake. She showed up in our rural yard in July of 2005 looking not quite full grown. The following February she finally consented to being touched and immediately after that consented to adoption. Amy was named for an internet friend who was a big advocate of getting homeless cats adopted. The human Amy had an aneurysm and died between the cat’s appearance and consent to adoption so her name was sort of a given. Sorry that got kind of long.
Cute how in panel 1, bottom, Peekaboo is just starting to wake up but isn’t happy about being awakened; in panel 2, she knows someone is reaching for her; & in panel 3, realizes it’s MeeMa so is all love & smiles. Wonderful show of expressions with just a few lines. ♥♥♥

I don’t know any cat that tolerates getting hugged, even by Meemaw.
