While I lived in Canterbury (England), High Street had all the best pubs, but when the American tourists started to roll in for the summer it ruined everything.
I taught geography for many years and it was always a little boy in the back of the room, just like the boy in the toon, who would shout out, ‘that doesn’t look like the Amazon River in our book, Mrs. D.’ I would free hand draw a blank map of South America and they for them to come up and identify various cities, bodies of water, mountains; but, alas, he was good at identifying the places; to each his own as long as you get there.

I’m not buying a world map until they finalize the design. It keeps changing.
