Between gerrymandering and blatant voter suppression the only way to we can win is to overwhelm them with numbers — which is the one thing we’ve got. There’s no way a black non-republican would have ever been allowed to be president without 70 million votes. No way could they weasel out of it.
200 million Americans are now registered to vote for the first time in U.S. history. More than 54 million have registered to vote in the past ten years. Overall, of the new voters registered 28 percent lean independent, 42 percent lean Democratic, and 29 percent lean Republican.
The system is rigged against us, but we got the keys to undo most all of that. President Sanders & the new Congress are gonna unlock the door and let the people through. Vote and we will win.
One of the most important cartoons that Ted has ever done that should be seen by every American, but how many would believe or more importantly care? How many would believe that on the democracy index the US, “experiencing a persistent downward trend” (Wikipedia), was downgraded in 2016 to a “flawed democracy”? Hey, at least you can look down on France.
“As the United States begins the process of choosing the next president and Congress, we need to talk more openly about which candidates are most likely to deliver the economic policies that the supermajority wants. Yes, the people can be wrong about things, but so too can experts, embedded industry groups and divisive political factions. It is not a concession to populism, but rather a respect for democracy, to suggest that two-thirds of the population should usually get what they ask for.”
If I am criticizing the Democratic candidates at this point, I would say they need to stand up more clearly and simply to Trump. The fact that he is so guarded against the investigations shows that he has something to hide. So, they should ask loudly and clearly and over and over again, WHAT DOES HE HAVE TO HIDE? HEY TRUMP, WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO HIDE? IF YOU ARE INNOCENT, WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO HIDE? If they want to use a Trump tactic, here it is, go for it.
Every vote counts unless the proprietary software, sold by a company run by a hard rightist doesn’t happen to count your vote, or counts it for some other candidate.
Bush stole the Florida vote not through the punch cards but through the absentee ballots: His team made sure every ballot was counted in Republican districts (including editing invalid ballots so they could be counted) and as few as possible were counted in Democratic districts. No . . . Gore did not do the same thing.

That’s why we need to fix our system! Starting with getting rid of the electoral college and ending with security against foreign meddling!

For many Trump minions “one person, one vote” now equals to “mob rule”.

One minor point: Hillary’s PV “victory” only happened because Gary Johnson and Evan McMullin siphoned some FIVE MILLION PVs from Trump.

The minority Republicans can not win unless they lie, cheat and steal in every way, and they do.

Our system is completely screwy. It needs to be reformed. It’s high time we instituted some REAL democracy, not democracy lite.
